Petaluma Redwood Tree Cut Down

Petaluma Redwood Tree Cut Down

The City called and said they needed help removing the sickest of three Redwood trees from Center Park, here in downtown Petaluma. We had just finished reading some ghastly accident briefs in our monthly subscription of Tree Care Industry Magazine, and quickly decided we wanted to help out our hometown before someone got hurt.  We called our friends at Precision Cranes Services to see if they would gang up on the project; they were more than happy to help.  Since we have a portable mill, we loaded it up and headed downtown last Wednesday, October 9, 2013, and took care of business. The salvaged lumber is being saved for the community.  Petaluma folks are talking about special benches, art sculptures, and/or replanting another tree in its place. Please direct your recommendations to the City of Petaluma Recreation, Music and Parks Commission. Special thanks to Jamie Hansen and Petaluma 360 for writing us up!
